Schools in Sindh to remain closed on August 26

The Sindh authorities has introduced the closure of all private and non-private faculties throughout the province on Monday, August 26, in observance of the Chehlum of Imam Hussain (RA).

The choice was formally communicated on Friday by way of a notification issued by the provincial schooling division’s steering committee.

The province will mark the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) with deep reverence and stringent safety measures.

This day commemorates the tip of a 40-day mourning interval following the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) and his 72 companions within the historic Battle of Karbala on the tenth of Muharram in 680 AD.

Mourning processions, together with these carrying Alam, Tazia, and Zuljinah, will probably be held throughout varied cities in Sindh as a part of the solemn observance.
