Ms Rogerson‘s function contains checking in, at house, with college students akin to Kian.
From Year 7 to Year 11, Kian discovered college difficult and had prolonged absences.
“I used to be most likely in like a few times a month,” he tells us.
“When I first met Kian, I couldn’t get a phrase out of him for 2 to 3 months,” Ms Rogerson says.
“It’s gone from not talking to me, to being cautious, to the place we are actually.
“I’ll decide him up and go and go to faculties – or we’ll sit and work by way of issues.”
Kian now attends college repeatedly and is planning for his future.
“The college has helped me realise I wish to do baking,” he says.
“It’s therapeutic and helps me relax and de-stress.
“I’m enthusiastic about having my very own bakery and having a number of retailers throughout the UK.”
This week, Kian received the grades he wanted to enrol on an expert bakery course at school.
A spokesperson for the Department for Education mentioned the federal government is “decided” to interrupt down limitations to alternative for younger individuals and remodel their life possibilities.
