Moment Botswana’s president feels weight of giant diamond


Botswana’s President, Mokgweetsi Masisi, had to make use of each fingers to carry the world’s second largest diamond.

“God is nice,” he exclaimed as the two,492-carat stone was unveiled.

A Canadian mining firm, Lucara, found the diamond within the Karowe diamond mine.

The world’s largest stone was 3,106-carat and was present in South Africa in 1905.
