Anchor Orya Maqbool Jan was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Wing in Lahore on Thursday, Express News reported.
According to his lawyer, Azhar Siddique, Jan was detained over social media posts associated to the Mubarak Sani case. He is at present being held on the FIA Cybercrime workplace in Gulberg, Lahore.
Siddique claims that particulars of the First Information Report (FIR) haven’t been disclosed to them. “We haven’t been knowledgeable of the specifics of the FIR, and we imagine the FIA lacks jurisdiction on this matter,” Siddique stated, including that they plan to current robust arguments towards the fees.
Jan is predicted to be offered earlier than a judicial Justice of the Peace later immediately.
