Survivors of the Bayesian yacht say the ship “capsized inside a couple of minutes”, in accordance with a physician treating them.
Speaking from Di Cristina Children’s Hospital in Palermo, Dr Domenico Cipolla says: “They advised me they discovered themselves in an unimaginable situation, for example of bodily and psychological upheaval of their lives, and that the boat capsized inside a couple of minutes.”
One British mom, Charlotte Golunski, was on board the Bayesian along with her accomplice and held her child above the waves as assist arrived.
“Yesterday we already had a psychologist all day, first with the mom and the kid, then with the daddy, and within the afternoon as properly.
“So, psychological help was fixed and is fixed even immediately, as a result of mainly it’s the wounds of the soul are essentially the most in want of therapeutic in these circumstances.”
Dr Cipolla says the hospital offered “toys for the infant, cuddles, and fed them as a result of they had been frightened and hungry”.
