Croatian singer Severina Vuckovic was briefly detained on the border with Serbia for questioning that she stated was associated to her help for protests in opposition to the development of a brand new lithium mine. Vuckovic confirmed in a press launch on August 25 that the border police requested her and her supervisor to step apart and performed secondary searches and questioning. She was then taken to a police station for additional questioning concerning her opinions on Serbia and up to date protests in opposition to lithium mining within the nation and launched late on August 25 after a couple of hours, she stated.
