During the assembly, CDA officers briefed the committee on the state of affairs of the Rawal Dam. They mentioned that 9 million gallons of sewage water entered the dam every single day, including that the issue of air pollution within the dam can be solved after the set up of a sewage therapy plant.

The chair noticed that the folks of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have been ingesting polluted water, by which even the fish couldn’t survive. She mentioned that the matter of the therapy plant can be taken up within the Senate session. “Rawal Dam is in dire want of cleansing,” she emphasised.
