Emma Webber, Barnaby’s mum, made the announcement stay on BBC Breakfast with former Liverpool and Rangers footballer Graeme Souness.

She mentioned she would use the donation to purchase a brand new wheelchair “that is not heavy”.

She added she has to “battle for the whole lot” as a result of her situation shouldn’t be that well-known.
