Olivier De Schutter, co-chair on the International Panel of Experts for Sustainable Food Systems (IPES), stated that whereas a few of the proposals have been fascinating, significantly “as they search to guard small-scale meals producers from extreme purchaser energy, the entire doc relies on the mistaken premise — specifically, that farmers’ livelihoods and environmental aims corresponding to soil well being and biodiversity are conflicting.”

“This is solely ridiculous,” he concluded, and “[s]elling this as essential for meals safety is simply bollocks.”
