Residents of Karachi’s Korangi space staged a large protest on Friday night time, blocking each lanes of the street close to Nasir Jump by burning tyres and establishing obstacles, in response to a 10-day water provide disruption within the space.
The protesters, annoyed by the shortage of water in Nasir Colony and surrounding areas, expressed their desperation, stating that they’d been disadvantaged of water for the previous 10 days, forcing them to scramble for each drop.
The scenario has been exacerbated by rising costs, making it tough for residents to buy water, and even after they try to purchase water, they’re met with refusal from water hydrant operators.
