Man charged with Leeds delivery driver’s murder


A person has been charged with homicide following the demise of a supply driver in a “vanjacking” incident in Leeds.

Claudiu-Carol Kondor, 42, from Sheffield, died as he tried to cease a thief stealing his van when out delivering parcels on Tuesday night.

Mark Ross, 32, of Conference Road in Armley, is due earlier than Leeds magistrates later.

A 24-year-old man, who was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of homicide, remained in custody, West Yorkshire Police stated.
